My name is Dr. Chris Banning. I was born and raised in Michigan, but consider myself a “southerner” now as my wife and I have lived in Tennessee since 1990. We have two wonderful kids, Lindsay & Josh. In my spare time, I love to be outdoors, especially boating or fishing.
My first experience with chiropractic was as a patient: As a student in high school, one of my favorite hobbies was lifting weights. Unfortunately, I experienced a lower back injury while lifting weights. My parents took me to my family medical doctor. He ran some tests and found nothing to be causing my pain. He gave me some muscle relaxers and told me not to lift weights until my back condition healed itself.
Upon recommendation of a family friend, my parents decided to take me to a chiropractor. Dr. Cook helped to find the cause of my pain. He also told me that I have scoliosis or curvature of the spine. I felt so much better after receiving the adjustments and was so impressed by how chiropractic worked that I decided to make chiropractic my career choice. I began studying to receive the undergraduate requirements to attend Life Chiropractic University in Marietta, Georgia.
I have been enjoying the benefits of chiropractic care, both personally and professionally for over 25 years! I absolutely love helping my patients and I view my profession as a ministry.
